Portrait Now! Brewer J.C. Jacobsen’s Portrait Award

Rules and Guidelines

The Brewer J.C. Jacobsen’s Portrait Award is presented to the winners of the Nordic Portrait Competition, which is organised by the Danish Museum of National History at Frederiksborg Castle in cooperation with the Museum and Galleries of Contemporary Art, Erarta, St.Petersburg, Russia) and Baltika Breweries (Carlsberg Group, Russia).

The aim of the competition is to bring about greater interest for ‘the portrait’ amongst artists and the general public.

The competition applies to artists in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Greenland, The Faroe Islands, Iceland, and The Åland Islands. We will now open the competition for the Russian artists.
